Sapa Cathedral faces the east to welcome the light of the God. The end of the cathedral (the bell tower) is the west revealing the birthplace of Christ.   • O Quy Ho Pass:
If you are a traveling adventurer, then you can’t miss this daunting pass. O Quy Ho Pass is 50 km long running around Hoang Lien Son Range, between the northern provinces of Lao Cai and Lai Chau. Would you like to know about the story of its name – O Quy Ho? Legend has it that, a long time ago, there was a couple but they couldn’t marry together. The girl missed her lover missed her lover so terribly that she became ill, passed away and turned into a phoenix bird. When the sun set on the mountain, the bird sung O Quy Ho, O Quy Ho like the heart-rending cries through the forest. From there, the mountain pass was named after the cry of the phoenix.
  • Ta Phin Village:

  • Sapa Ancient Rock Field:
Sapa Ancient Rock Field is located in Muong Hoa Valley, Hau Thao Commune between the spectacular terraced rice paddies of ethnic minority groups. The first exploration in 1925 recorded the existence of 200 stones with various dimensions here. Hon Bo is the biggest rock found in the area with the size of 15m long and 6m high. On the surface of the stone, you can see many engravings of either pictures or decorations.

Besides, you can see the impressive images of da chong (the husband stone) and da vo (the wife stone). The da chong and da vo shows a story of faithful love between a couple who overcame all difficulties together, even though they turned to stone, they still sit next to each other.
